Blog Pages

Blog Web Hosting and Sharing of Information
Among the most important aspects of blog web hosting is the sharing of information among diverse, many and different people. On the internet today, there are millions of Blog Pages that are hosted on the World Wide Web by web hosting companies and sites from all over the world. This means that people are using these Blogs to share information, multimedia products as well as any other thing that can be uploaded and downloaded on the internet. Within a period of very few years, what had started as a general way of keeping in touch with your peers through blogging has grown tremendously and undergone a lot of changes.
Different people and groups of people have come up with niche areas of specialization in blogs. This has therefore brought about a situation where blog web hosting service providers are hosting very specialized types of blogs on the internet. For example, in a broader sense, there are those bloggers that deal with women issues such as those of production. However, today we are having another specialized niche in these women issues that will blog on only issues concerning pregnant women. This is a modern way of saying that the world audience is no longer compacted but segmented into distinct and small groups of individuals with very specialized new media interests. Today more than any other time in history, we are relying on the information that we are getting from ourselves through the use of the internet. These blogs that we are hosting are becoming good sources of information both on academic and entertainment needs.
It is therefore good to realize that the more the blog web hosting service providers that we have, the more the blogs and bloggers with get and therefore greatly increased volumes of information on the internet. This will surely go an extra mile in ensuring that everybody wishing to host A Blog will do so. Traffic will also be more selective and more specific on what they want to read about. Blogs will also be having more specialized categories that will attract only the people who are interested in that particular line of thought. In this way therefore, blog web hosting service provision has greatly helped the entire communications sector as well as in media industry. People have moved from relying on the traditional means of passing information to actually playing active part in the processing and dissemination of information.

The Pages $11.99 The Pages is a remarkable literary love story by the award-winning author of Eucalyptus. On a family sheep station in western New South Wales, a brother and sister work the property while their reclusive brother, Wesley Antill, spends years toiling away in one of the sheds, writing his philosophy. Now he has died. Erica, a philosopher, is sent from Sydney to appraise his life’s work. Accompanying her is Sophie, who needs distracting from a string of failed relationships. Her field is psychoanalysis. The pages Wesley wrote lie untouched in the shed, just as he left them. What will they reveal? Was he a genius? How will the visit change the lives of Erica and Sophie? The Pages is a beguiling meditation on friendship and love, on men and women, on landscape and the difficulties of thought itself, by one of Australia’s greatest novelists. It was shortlisted for the Miles Franklin, the Victorian Premier’s and the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards. |

100 First Pages $14.52 This book is called 100 First Pages because that’s what it is. Each page in the book is ’supposed’ to be the first page of a novel. Next to that page, on the left, are my comments about how the novel might go, along with some of my personal thoughts on the ’subject’. That’s the best part, because it is a mini-encyclopedia, almanac, journal and, to some extent, a blog. The book covers a large array of topics and genres. When you buy the book and read it, you can go to my website listed in the back and vote for your favorite BEGINNING. You can also suggest a title for the book. I promise that I will write the novel which receives the most votes for publication AND if you are the person who suggests the Best Title, i.e. the one I will use, you will get a cover credit, an entire page inside to write anything you like and one dollar for every copy sold! Check out the preview and give it a try. |

A Better Pencil : Readers, Writers, and the Digital Revolution $18.95 Computers, now the writer’s tool of choice, are still blamed by skeptics for a variety of ills, from speeding writing up to the point of recklessness, to complicating or trivializing the writing process, to destroying the English language itself. A Better Pencil puts our complex, still-evolving hate-love relationship with computers and the internet into perspective, describing how the digital revolution influences our reading and writing practices, and how the latest technologies differ from what came before. The book explores our use of computers as writing tools in light of the history of communication technology, a history of how we love, fear, and actually use our writing technologies–not just computers, but also typewriters, pencils, and clay tablets. Dennis Baron shows that virtually all writing implements–and even writing itself–were greeted at first with anxiety and outrage: the printing press disrupted the “almost spiritual connection” between the writer and the page; the typewriter was “impersonal and noisy” and would “destroy the art of handwriting.” Both pencils and computers were created for tasks that had nothing to do with writing. Pencils, crafted by woodworkers for marking up their boards, were quickly repurposed by writers and artists. The computer crunched numbers, not words, until writers saw it as the next writing machine. Baron also explores the new genres that the computer has launched: email, the instant message, the web page, the blog, social-networking pages like MySpace and Facebook, and communally-generated texts like Wikipedia and the Urban Dictionary, not to mention YouTube. Here then is a fascinating history of our tangled dealings with a wide range of writing instruments, from ancient papyrus to the modern laptop. With dozens of illustrations and many colorful anecdotes, the book will enthrall anyone interested in language, literacy, or writing. |

Dennis Baron shows that virtually all writing implements—and even writing itself—were greeted at first with anxiety and outrage: the printing press disrupted the "almost spiritual connection" between the writer and the page; the typewriter was "impersonal and noisy" and would "destroy the art of handwriting." Both pencils and computers were created for tasks that had nothing to do with writing. |

A community intervention strategy to increase immigrant youth resilience. $49.99 In institutions of higher learning across Arizona, undocumented students often go unnoticed. Many of these students were brought into the U.S. as young children and many have graduated from Arizona high schools. Arizona’s Proposition 300, implemented in 2007, has impacted undocumented students by denying them state sponsored financial aid and in-state classification for tuition. This has resulted in a growing concern as to how undocumented students and college staff are going to deal with this mandate. In this study, the following two research questions were developed to investigate this issue: (1) How will this mandate impact undocumented students’ lives?; and, (2) What are the obstacles these individuals will face when they can no longer afford a higher education? Using an action research approach, a website was created to provide the undocumented students as well as the community information about Proposition 300, college access and resources available. Data were collected through administration web statistics, a 42 question survey, blog postings and follow-up interviews. The website was open to any interne user, which allowed people from various geographic locations to participate. Quantitative analyses gathered from website statistics indicated significant activity from participants. The total number of website visits from participants was 752, viewing 3,310 total pages and averaging 6:44 minutes per visit. Participants visited the website from various locations throughout the U.S. and from Mexico and Puerto Rico. Of the participants (n = 299), many indicated they were female, students and Hispanic. Most participants found the website useful and confirmed high resilience characteristics and, due to the website, felt optimistic about their educational future. Qualitative analyses gathered from survey data (n = 299) and blog postings (n = 64), indicated that the greatest concern of undocumented students was that they could not afford the increase in |

Bespoke Contrast Silhouette Messages Print $150 An unashamedly bespoke piece of graphic artwork – A Contrast Typo is crafted using your collated messages and a silhouette of your choice…something that has a particular resonance with the person it is created for. The end product is an individually designed, utterly unique, typographical silhouette. Produced at 60cm x 80cm on high quality paper with a satin finish, this monochrome print makes a truly bespoke statement piece for any wall. In this example of a Constrast Silhouette, customer testimonials were used to create a stylish piece for the reception lounge of the new tailorshop.
